i doubt i’ve ever felt more pride than being in your company and that of the other women ,in particular, yesterday. your collective manner, intelligence, passion, and eloquence, provides us with a huge beacon to illuminate our way. i will be a sinister senior.

I know you don’t like being the focus of attention but at least there is more attention given to indigenous land claims now. It really is a time to show what side we take. You are one of my heroes. I’m sorry you got put in jail. I wish I was as brave as you.

Jean, you are a mother, you will remain a grandma to most of us, your lagacy will live on, they made you look a criminal in front of many of us who were at the court with you.


You are not a criminal, you are the voice, for the voiceless, the protector of injustices, including our Mother Earth.


We shall still go to jail, coz of what we believe in, you are not a lone, you are just stepping in feet of Nelson Mandela, who lived his entire youthful life in jail from 1962, serving 27 years split between Robben Island, Pollsmoor and Verster prisons.


He became the president of South Africa, Jean you know what awaits you at the City Council, you are going in with more fight to make Vancouver a better place to live, leaving no one out.


7 days to them, means heavens, 7 days to you, will be contemplating what is right to the Pple of Vancouver, Rent Freeze, ending the prejudice against addicts, who among the low income Pple, can pay rent in Vancouver at more than $2,000 per month, that is your concern.


Now the law that needs to protect the seniors is the same law that is putting the senior in jail, when the seniors stand to protect their children’s and the generation to come. Jean you are not alone in this, we are with you, praying for you, and you are coming out shining more.


If you believe in a cause go for it, don’t be ashamed of going jail, be proud of what you believe in. Wonderful
