Where City Hall (In Person or Via Phone)

On Wednesday October 8th, Ken Sim is moving a motion entitled “Zero equals Zero” that will bring $100 million in cuts to services to Vancouver City Hall’s budget.

Where are the cuts going to come from? We don’t know. Even ABC doesn’t know.

This is a desperate election gimmick from Ken Sim, but it’s also dangerous.

Ken Sim is aiming for a political target without a plan or process. This chaotic move means that the things we care about are going to be on the chopping block:

  • Services like libraries, community centres, and garbage pick-up,
  • Equity programs, reconciliation initiatives
  • Upgrades to infrastructure and amenities
  • Arts & Culture and social service grants
  • Housing & Homelessness prevention services

SPREAD THE WORD

We need to go all out to protect the city from Ken Sim’s cuts. Share this with friends,
You can also send a letter to city council at votecope.ca/stopsim to share why you oppose this motion.

Will you come?
